Reading payment statuses

Payment statuses help you understand whether a charge completed, failed, or moved into a refund state.

Pending

  • The payment flow has started but is not finalized yet
  • Confirmation, gateway processing, or settlement may still be in progress
  • Review the payment again before assuming the charge succeeded or failed

Successful

  • The payment completed successfully
  • The related billing record is the main reference for the current charge
  • Review the linked subscription and billing period if you need context

Failed

  • The charge did not complete successfully
  • The subscription or access outcome may differ depending on when the failure happened
  • Look at failure details and retry context before opening support

Refunded

  • The payment was refunded fully or partially
  • Review the payment timeline together with the subscription state
  • Keep the payment ID ready if you need clarification about the refund reason

How to use statuses well

  • Read the status together with charge date and billing period
  • Always confirm which subscription and package the payment belongs to
  • Check whether a refund state came after a successful original charge
  • Use payment history as the source of truth before escalating

Quick reminder

Statuses explain the current financial state of a payment record. They become more useful when read together with subscription status, billing period, and recent account actions.
